A Different Journey

Hello!

I thought it'd be nice to share my experiences and thoughts as I go through the journey of trying to publish my books. If you're here and reading this, then thank you! We have a finite amount of time to exist in this world, and sharing some of that time reading the thoughts of others is humbling to me.

I have some ideas for upcoming blog posts, but for now my focus is on a few things:

• Finish my latest editing pass of the books.

• Finish building out the website.

• Get the rest of the cover artwork done.

• Start drafting letters for literary agents.

My future blog posts may talk about:

• Why Traditional versus Self Publishing?

• Why Alyssa Morgan as the main character?

• The process for getting cover art done.

• Researching the market.

The world of books and publishing has changed an insane amount in the last 20 years. Millions of books published every year, all clamouring for the attention of a slower-growing audience.

It's a lot to take in!

I find the easiest way to accomplish my goals is constant progress in manageable tasks. We can't control everything in this process, but I'm working hard to get everything I do control in the best place.

Now, back to fiddling with font sizes and text boxes.
